The City of Manvel would like to thank the art students of Manvel High School for the stunning mural they created at the Manvel Public Library from May 9 to May 12, 2023. View the full-size image of the mural

In a collaborative effort between the City of Manvel, Manvel Public Library, and Manvel High School, the art students spent countless hours creating a beautiful mural that truly captures the essence of the library and our community.

The mural, depicting four children reading books, creating characters and animals, and stories in a “thought bubble,” perfectly represents the Manvel Public Library. It showcases the library's mission to promote literacy and inspire imagination through the power of books. The mural encourages children to explore the vast world of literature. It allows them to imagine different worlds and characters, broaden their creativity, and develop communication and problem-solving skills. This representation is a positive image of the library and its dedication to providing a nurturing and engaging environment for young minds to grow and learn.

The library has constantly strived to improve its programming in order to create a dynamic and inviting environment that encourages learning, exploration, and creativity in children. The addition of this magnificent mural has only served to enhance this environment for the library’s young visitors, giving them an even more immersive experience.

The City of Manvel is incredibly grateful for the hard work and dedication of the Manvel High School art students and their faculty. They have truly made a positive impact on our community. We thank them from the bottom of our hearts and look forward to future collaborations.

We invite the entire Manvel community to share in experiencing the new mural at the Manvel Public Library, located at 20514 Highway 6!
