Communications is staffed 24 hours a day, 365 days a year for your assistance. The communications operators are responsible for taking emergency and non emergency calls. The communications center dispatches for Alvin Independent School District Police Department after hours, Manvel Fire Department and Iowa Colony Fire Department , as well as many other duties.
