Bulk Waste and Large Brush Collection
In addition to regular collection services, Waste Connections also provides bulky waste and large brush collection at single-family residential units on the first Monday of every month. Waste Connections will collect one bulky waste item or white goods item and up to four bundles of brush. All bulk waste and brush must be placed curbside by 7 am on the scheduled collection day.
Examples of bulky waste include stoves, refrigerators, water tanks, washing machines, other white goods, furniture, large volumes of containerized waste, and similar items. Bulky waste does NOT include construction and demolition waste. If you have bulky waste that exceeds the size and weight limitations of collection, contact Waste Connections at 281-331-0810 to discuss Roll-Off Services.
White Items include any item not measuring in excess of either two cubic yards in size or two-hundred pounds in weight and that is manufactured primarily from metal. Examples include a bathtub, heater, hot water heater, sink, washer or dryer, and refrigerator (must be certified in writing by a professional technician to have had all such refrigerants removed).
Large brush must be appropriately contained in a waste bin or bundled. Bundles must not exceed three cubic yards in total volume or eight feet in length. Single-Family Residential Units requiring large brush collection must notify Waste Connections no later than the end of the business day on the Friday immediately preceding the scheduled collection day.
Recycling uses the blue container and is picked up every Friday. Place containers curbside by 7 am for collection. If you have questions regarding the recycling program, contact Waste Connections at 281-331-0810.
